Have you had countless failed attempts of losing weight, but then it actually worked?

I most certainly have had many, upon many attempts to lose weight and have succeeded and failed again. I’ve had my moments of constant battles like everyone else. I must add that this had a lot to do with my nutrition, and also training regime. The two go hand in hand with each-other when you really want some sensational results. Let me explain a lot more about this, and then I’ll get into something that has actually worked!

4 key factors that are stopping you from losing weight

  1. Your diet is not optimal and you sneak things into your meals.
One thing you need to do, is get honest about your diet. This is the most important factor for weight loss – period! No amount of exercise – including weight training – will help you in this department alone. Yes, we do need some exercise to re-shape our bodies, but, they key factor is and will always be, the amount and quality of food we put in our mouth’s! Don’t cheat yourself out of an optimal diet by thinking that a couple of chocolates per day wont matter – it does matter. Your main priority should always be, to eat as clean as possible 80% of the time, and allow 1–2 treat meals per week. 1 treat meal is ideal, but sometimes our lifestyle calls for 2, and that’s perfectly fine. A cheat meal wont do much harm, it’s constantly eating crap that does. Keep this in mind and don’t cheat yourself out of weight loss with it.
  2. Doing excessive cardio is not helping you.
Thinking you can just do a couple of hours cardio because you ate something you should not have, or think that it will help you create enough of a calorie deficit to stuff your face that night. This is absolutely not a healthy and sustainable practice- and it does not work! Our bodies are not going to do what we want them to, they will do what they have been built to. Your body doesn’t care if you want to lose weight, it just wants to create a perfect balance, and all this extreme behaviour will leave it in a panic. Long cardio sessions is not only a waste of time, but it’s ineffective for your goals. Always think long term and the ability to sustain your training into old age.
  3. Your losing muscle mass from lack of weight training.
Muscle mass is key to losing body fat, and maintaining optimal body composition and increasing your metabolisms potential. The excessive cardio can have this effect, using muscle mass as an energy source. This in turn, lowers your metabolism even more, making it so easy to gain body fat, yet so hard to lose it. It’s a never ending trap.
  4. You have been on an extremely low calorie diet for too long.
Low calorie diets are ineffective at maintaining an optimal body composition. We need food in order to function and develop a shapely physique. Not eating enough leaves us lacking the vitamins and minerals we need, diminishing the quality of our skin, hair and nails, not to mention making us feel dreadful. Then there are those awful cravings! This is not the only way to lose weight, I promise you.

Now after all this, let me instill a positive and sustainable way to lose weight, and keep it off for good!

Here is the most effective type of way to lose body fat, gain muscle mass and your health and sanity back…

Welcome to the world of intermittent fasting.

Now, I’m not going to ramble on about this for too long, because all I ever seem to write about is fasting. And the truth is, I love it so much, I really want everyone to know how awesome it is when coupled with weight training.

This is not just a fad diet, it’s a lifestyle program, and one that is easy, cheap and extremely effective.

You get to pick and choose the hours you want to fast and feast. The most popular times are 12, 16, 17, 18, 20, 24 hours of fasting.

I choose to fast every day, and alternate between all of the above. You can choose to do more or less, it’s really up to you. It produces great results no matter how much or how little you do of it. I cannot comment on fasting only a couple of times a week, as that’s not something I have done. I have gained more muscle mass, lost more body fat, and gained my sanity plus the body I wanted, by fasting every day. It has not interfere with anything in my life, and has done more for my focus, health and longevity than any other diet or lifestyle plan ever has.

I encourage as many people as possible to try this, and see what it can do for them. I absolutely love it, and I know you will too!
