It’s easier than you think to stay young, lean and healthy
In the ever-changing world that we’re now in, it’s becoming more and more advantageous to lead a healthy and abundant life. Now more than ever, we don’t know what tomorrow holds, whether it’s another lockdown, disease or some disaster that could strike — being as healthy as we can sure help us make the best of it. It’s pretty disturbing how many people believe it takes a lot of effort and money to stay healthy and look young well into old age. But, of course, genetics does play a small part in this — but there are a few things you can do yourself (which happens to be free) to keep you healthy, young and lean well into old age. The critical hormone I’m talking about here is HGH — in other words, human growth hormone. HGH may sound like a mouthful to those who’ve not yet heard of it. But after you’re done reading this, you can activate and use this hormone to your advantage.
What does HGH do?
HGH plays a crucial role in growth, body composition, cell repair, and metabolism, for starters. It boosts muscle growth, strength and exercise performance. It also helps you to recover from injury and disease. For those looking at this hormone from an ageing perspective, it slows down the ageing process and slows the formation of age-related disease. In other words, it helps you look and feel young. This powerful hormone is inherent in all humans but is also available in synthetic form, either as a supplement or an injection. Lots of bodybuilders use this to enhance muscle growth and get leaner. It’s pretty sad knowing that many people misuse this hormone for their aesthetic benefits. Regular use of HGH treats poor growth in children and adults. The great news is that you and I can activate HGH naturally through diet and exercise. Once you benefit from this hormone, you definitely won’t look back in regret. It’s free, easy and worth your while.
How do I naturally activate HGH?
One: By losing body fat
Did you know that the amount of fat you carry around your belly is directly related to your HGH production? Unfortunately, higher levels of belly fat can impair your body’s natural HGH production. That also means you are more susceptible to the risk of disease. What’s interesting is that body fat affects HGH levels more in men. But lowering your body fat is still the key for both genders towards increasing HGH. So then, how do we get that belly fat shifting once and for all?
Two: Intermittent Fasting
Study upon study shows that fasting leads to considerable increases in HGH levels. One study found that HGH levels increase by over 300% three days into a fast! After one week of fasting, they had increased by 1,250%! That’s phenomenal! On the other hand, continuous fasting for days on end is not sustainable long term; therefore, it’s wiser to intermittently fast by limiting eating for brief periods (rather than the long term, sustained throughout successive days.) There are so many methods of fasting available for you to try. A common one is a daily 8-hour eating window, with a 16 hour fast. Another option is to eat 500–600 calories two days per week. However, from experience, my preference is to cycle between different fasting times to allow the most flexible lifestyle method possible. I find that stopping your food consumption for a particular amount of hours is a lot more manageable than eating a limited amount of calories per day. Three: Eliminating High Insulin levels from excessive refined sugars and carbs
Increases in insulin are associated with lower levels of HGH. Foods like refined carbs and sugars raise insulin levels. So you will notice a huge difference when you reduce or cut out these from your diet. Healthy individuals have 3–4 times higher HGH levels than those with diabetes. As you know, excessive sugar intake is a critical factor for weight gain and obesity. Those also affect your levels of HGH. So, you may be asking yourself, what about if I want to have a cheat meal a couple of times a week that contains sugar? Don’t worry too much. The long-term consumption of these foods has an impact on your health and HGH levels overall. Just be sure to exercise self-control because it’s a cheat meal, not a whole day of cheating! Don’t cheat yourself out of good health and optimal HGH levels.
Four: HGH happens at night — so get some sleep
Our bodies naturally release ample levels of HGH, which peaks during the night. Most meals can raise insulin levels, which is why many health experts will suggest you avoid eating before bedtime. Nevertheless, keep in mind that insulin levels decrease 2–3 hours after eating, so try to avoid eating carb or protein-based meals 2–3 hours before bedtime. Try to hit the gym and have your post-workout meal a lot earlier than your scheduled bedtime if you can. There you have it. Four simple ways to activate HGH naturally every single day, so you can benefit from the many benefits it brings your body and health. Fasting is one of the best ways to hit the spot because:
- You eat less food and stay lean
- You lower your insulin levels and naturally activate them by doing this daily
- Skipping dinner (that’s my fasting plan) so that I can get to higher levels of HGH during the evening
- It helps me build strength and muscle mass from training — especially when I train in a fasted state
Try out these methods and see what a difference they can make in your life.
