Easy Turkey Burger Patties

Easy Turkey Burger Patties

These turkey burgers can even be made into meat balls, or minus the eggs for a nice bolognaise. I find that when I make these on the weekend, and freeze, they are ready to go during the week, when I am time poor, or really feel like something a bit extra for lunch during the working week. Combine with fried cauliflower rice and some soy sauce for an oriental alternative.

  • - Roll the mixture into patties, filling the circumference of your palm. This should give you an accurate portion size for your body type. - The calculation of these patties in grams is around about 72g per serving. Depending on your body composition goals, this will increase in small amounts, in order for your body to become accustomed to the increase in protein. You will notice your bodies set point for protein as you experiment. Everyone's set point is different, and it depends on the amount of muscle you have in your body. Remember, protein can be stored as fat, so be aware of the subtle changes in your body when you increase the amount.

  • - I wrap my turkey burgers in baking paper, so it's easier to handle. These burgers do not contain flour, so it's a lot more softer to handle. Keep in the fridge for a couple of days, or freeze them. Note the protein amount and date if you wish. Mine will pretty much disappear in a few days! - I will feature some ways to dress the turkey burger, so you can have fun with it, add dimension and interest to the whole experience. Eating simply brings you back to basics, but It's going to be a tasty, and fun experience, depending on how creative you are!
