Weight loss really doesn’t have to be extreme in anyway. I think we’ve all seemed to make it look hard and filled with endless sacrifices. There is always a fine line between being flexible and being completely obsessed. The right way is your way, depending on what kind of physique you would like to attain. This is a different path for everyone.

I do have a few tips and tricks that can help you, without causing too much imbalance in your life. As I always say, weight loss is something you have to work on every day and it’s for life. You may as well make it as easy as possible and manageable.

6 tips for effortless weight loss

  1. Eat more protein daily. This is an easy element to add into your daily food plan. It’s as easy as buying some extra protein sources, so that you have a stockpile on hand when preparing your food. I would suggest the easiest and most nutritious form or protein is eggs. Incorporate them into your diet as much as possible. They are filled with many vitamins, minerals and healthy fats. They also keep you full for extended periods of time, and are very low in calories. Supplementing with them every few days will lower your calorie deficit, making it easier to lose weight. Try it out and see how it works for you.
  2. Weight train regularly. I can’t speak highly enough for weight training. It assists in strengthening your bones, creating muscle which makes your metabolism more robust, and it creates a positive environment for insulin sensitivity. This means that calories are utilised by your body more efficiently, rather than storing it into your fat cells. This is a win all round, especially when it comes to maintaining your weight long term.
  3. Make incidental exercise part of your daily life. Make it a habit to get up and keep moving through the day. Take the stairs instead of the elevator, walk during your lunch break. Leave your car at home and walk as much as you can. Take extended walks on your day off, and really enjoy the fresh air and nature all around you. This is not only therapeutic and relaxing, but far burning.
  4. Fill your plate with green veggies daily. Green vegetables should be a very important staple in your diet. It’s nutritious and delicious. Veggies provide nutrients and have many positive benefits in fighting disease and cancer. They will also help keep keep you full for longer and reduce cravings. Fibre is also your key to keeping your gut health optimal, which is also an advantage when trying to lose body fat.
  5. Make time to relax and rejuvenate. Rest and down time is just as important as activity. We need to make the time for resting, sleep and chilling out to wind down and give our bodies a rest. With all the hustle and bustle of the daily grid, this can be a real awakening that you need to slow down. We feel guilty for taking a break and even spending time on ourselves. This needs to be a big part of our life. Me time is essential for good health and reflecting on what you really want out of life. Schedule some time just to reflect, relax and catch up on you.
  6. Intermittently fast 3–4 times a week. Fasting is a great way to lose body fat at a faster rate, and keep it off without having to resort to calorie restricted dieting. It’s also great for inflammation, increases your life span and enhances your brain function. It doesn’t take much planning of fussing to fast. You just have to pick your days, and your house, then that’s it! Very simple indeed. Once you get the hang of it, this will become part of your daily life, and you will enjoy the changes in your body, mind and spirit as a result. You will also be saving lots of time and money on cooking, as you won’t need as much food. Try it out for a few weeks consistency, and see how much your body changes in such a short period of time. It will amaze you!

I do hope these tips and tricks help you along your weight loss journey. This is about a lifestyle, not a quick fix, and making it part of your life is a whole lot easier.
